SPD searching for suspect from armed incident at Rite Aid on South Hill

SPOKANE, Wash. -A suspect is at large following an assault incident at a Rite Aid on the South Hill in Spokane Wednesday night.

This evening around 8 p.m., employees noticed a man acting strange inside the Rite Aid on 29th and Grand Blvd. Police say when they approached him, the man pulled out a gun and threatened to kill them.

No shots were fired, but the man fled the scene.

Police say the suspect is being sought after for assault charges. A K-9 unit was dispatched, but at this point officers say they are still attempting to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white man about 6 feet tall with a thin build and blond hair. He was wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants, but police believe he's most likely already changed his clothes.

The investigation is ongoing. No one was injured in the incident.
