SPOKANE, Wash. -The Spokane Police Department was able to recover a pair of stolen vehicles while arresting a 10-time convicted felon on Wednesday.

Early Wednesday morning, the Spokane PD Anti-Crime Team learned that two BMW vehicles were stolen from Camp Chevrolet. One was recovered nearby, but the PACT team was able to locate the other vehicle at Northern Quest Casino via GPS tracking software monitored by BMW.

The PACT team and K9 team set up surveillance of the vehicle and observed two males get into the vehicle. Officers set up a block on the BMW, but the vehicle rammed through the patrol car. Officers initiated pursuit, but the BMW eventually eluded police heading northbound.

Officers located via GPS and followed the vehicle up into Pend Oreille County through Usk up into South Skookum Lake Campground. An officer attempted to pin the vehicle, but they rammed through it again and fled. The BMW eventually stopped a couple miles away from the campground and officers immediately deployed patrol dogs.

Two passengers were apprehended, while the driver was able to get away in the thick wooded area. Passenger Tanisha Ford and passenger Robert Screws were taken into custody and later booked into jail.

Through this investigation, the PACT team learned the driver of the vehicle who rammed the patrol car twice was 10-time convicted felon Jason SiJohn.

On Wednesday around 5:15 p.m., members of the PACT team, US Marshals, Kalispel Tribal Police, Pend Oreille County Sheriff’s Office and SPD K9 units took SiJohn into custody at a friend’s house in Pend Oreille County.

SiJohn was booked into jail for two counts of Assault against Officers, Attempt to Elude, and Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle.
