SPOKANE, Wash. -Those who live near Longfellow Elementary are still dealing with the aftermath of their car’s tires getting slashed. It all happened on Friday the 13th around 11:30 p.m.

Neighbors tell KHQ that it wasn’t just one. There were six or seven cars with their tires slashed on one block, and also on the block across Nevada.

“It’s been pretty irritating,” says one neighbor.

One neighbor says his friend was visiting when they went outside and saw his friend’s truck’s rear tire was flat. As he was helping his friend change the tire, he noticed a group of kids down the street running around. When those kids noticed him, they took off.

They also say that night someone broke the glass to a shop on the corner. The neighborhood has a message for these vandals.

“Find something else to do. This costs people a lot of money and time. It's not funny,” says another neighbor.
